Milestone Brings Branding Basic to Manado

This 23rd of July we were thrilled to collaborate with Bank Indonesia of North Sulawesi to give a workshop on basic branding knowledge for UMKM (small-medium enterprises) in Manado. Milestone Branding Basic is an all-day workshop designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to be smart, capable marketers in the digital age through branding. We help business owners to see the importance of branding to their success. As a leading brand consultancy in Jakarta, we are honored for the opportunity to show our support for the development of UMKM in one of the most thriving cities in Indonesia.

The one-day crash course on branding completed with great success. Nearly 100 people joined us at Four Points by Sheraton Manado, where the workshop took place. The people attending represented how far UMKM in Manado had progressed. Their enthusiasm was what they brought to the table, literally. Many put their products on display, showcasing what they do, sharing their own business stories. Of the experience, attendees found it fruitful and practical. Many left with notes of new ideas and strategic adjustments they could implement to each of their businesses. Arbonas Hutabarat, the Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Sulawesi Utara, in his opening remarks, briefly explained how UMKM could aim higher and go bigger when taking the right steps. That was why Bank Indonesia invited Milestone to facilitate UMKM business development.

Milestone Branding Basic was our desire to share knowledge and skills on branding with anyone who would benefit from it. During our workshop in Manado, Milestone recognized the opportunity to help the UMKM by “teaching a man how to fish”, encouraging them to acquire and master new enterprise skillset making the most of what they have, resulting in a powerful branding strategy for their business to grow.
